By Rashid Shirinov – Trend:

Governor of the North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov have summed up the work of the region’s industrial enterprises in 2018, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakh media.

He said that the industrial enterprises output products worth 223 billion tenge, which is higher compared to last year.

"We presented a private industrial zone to the president. There are 14 enterprises, and some of them have already opened. Investments will be about 30 billion tenge," said Aksakalov.

This year, the second phase of the recovery of BioOperations LLP, which had been inactive for 8 years, was implemented in the region. The plant already produces starch and gluten. Also, work is underway to restore the plant for the production of bioethanol at 10,000 tons per year.

"In 2019, the industry will face the task of increasing the growth rate by 3-5 percent. The great potential is primarily due to new enterprises to be launched," the governor said.

He noted that the volume of private investment for 2019 is projected to increase by 5.5 percent compared to 2018. This will be facilitated by the localization of the CLAAS agricultural machinery assembly, construction of a transformer plant, KAZMEAL LLP wheat processing plant, a railroad car building plant, feed production and woodworking enterprises, as well as the creation of a modern data center based on the Kalinin plant.
