Kazakhstan produces almost 20M tons of oil

The volume of oil production in Kazakhstan in January-March 2019 amounted to 19.827 million tons, which is 4.2 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports with reference to the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan.

In the reporting period, gas condensate was produced in the amount of 3.184 million tons (a decrease in production compared to January-March last year by 4.7 percent), natural gas - 14.635 billion cubic meters (+4 percent), coal - 29.703 million tons (-0.1 percent).

Moreover, iron ore was extracted in the amount of 9.164 million tons (-6.5 percent), copper ore - 27.292 million tons (+17.3 percent), gold-bearing ore - 5.258 million tons (+20.2 percent), chrome concentrate - 1.201 million tons (+14.4 percent).

Gasoline production showed an even greater growth, having reached 916.500 tons in January-March 2019, which is 11.2 percent more than in the same period of 2018.

In the reporting period, kerosene was produced in the amount of 167.800 tons (an increase in production compared to January-March last year by 126.8 percent), liquefied propane and butane - 622.700 tons (+5.3 percent), gas oil – 1,103.800 tons (+4.7 percent), fuel oil - 867.300 tons (-5.5 percent).

Ferroalloy was produced in the amount of 529.500 tons (+7.1 percent), flat steel - 390.900 tons (-48 percent), refined lead - 32.400 tons (-16.8 percent), zinc - 80.200 tons (-2.9 percent), refined copper - 114.100 tons (+10.1 percent).
