The manufacturers of renewable energy sources installations are to be exempted from the payment of all kinds of taxes for five years since the date of their official registration, Trend reports referring to Uzbek media.
These benefits are included in the Uzbekistan act on use of renewable energy sources which entered into the force recently.
The manufacturers of energy from renewable energy sources, including the non-state owned ones are to be exempted from the payment of property tax on installations of renewable energy sources and the land tax on areas which are occupied by the installations for ten years since the date of their putting into operation.
Furthermore, the act prescribes that those who manufacture electricity from renewable energy sources for their own needs do not get authorization documents.
The act also expands the number of those who can become the manufacturers of energy from renewable energy sources by attracting private capital to the process.
“The act obliges the state regulator in the sphere of electricity manufacturing from renewable energy sources represented by the Ministry of Energy to develop measures to promote implementation of source-saving and energy-saving technologies in the sphere of renewable energy sources usage both in economy and household sector,” the source says.
