Bank of Georgia implements new project in field of agriculture

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14

By joint efforts of Bank of Georgia and Nat Georgia Ltd., an almond orchard will be planted in the village of Koda, Tetritsqaro Municipality, Georgia, Trend reports citing Georgian media.

At this stage, agricultural work is actively carried out, and under the already used funds, the company planted 8,600 Spanish high-yielding seedlings on 6 hectares of land.

Nat Georgia Ltd plans to harvest an average of 1.2 tons of almonds per hectare. The company does not rule out the possibility of producing and exporting almond milk in the future.

The company plans to employ 15 people to work at the orchard.

The total investment in this project is 199,000 lari ($64,852).

Nat Georgia expects to receive a total of 7.2 tons of almonds from the site.
