Expenses on construction of enterprises in Iran’s Semnan Province climbs

The number of expenses on the construction of enterprises in the Semnan Province (northern Iran) increased by 10.7 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2020) compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the statistics, 3.04 trillion rials (about $72.3 million) was spent on the construction of the enterprises within 6 months of the current Iranian year. While in the same period last year, this figure amounted to 2.74 trillion rials (about $65.3 million).

"As many as 82 enterprises were launched in Iran's Semnan Province over the past six months. This is an increase of 6.5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 77 enterprises were launched in the province in the same period last Iranian year," the statistics said.

A total of 1,170 people were employed during six months with the launch of enterprises in Iran's Semnan Province, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, employment decreased by 5.9 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 1,250 people were employed in the same period last Iranian year with the launch of the enterprises," the statistics said.

A total of 3,050 enterprises were launched in Iran over the past six months of the current Iranian year. About 380 trillion rials (about $9.04 billion) was spent on the construction of the enterprises. About 51,600 people were employed with the launch of these enterprises.

The number of enterprises launched in Iran increased by 1.4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

This resulted in an increase of 72.1 percent in terms of expenses and 8.2 percent in terms of employment.
