5th session of intergovernmental commission of member-countries of TRASECA is taking place May 2 in Sofia. Azeri delegation at this meeting is headed by Azeri Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov, Tansport ministry officials told Trend.
In the course of forthcoming session, the participants will discuss and approve the transport corridor development strategy till the end of the year 2015. They will also discuss the budget07, observers status in organization, and the project of demonstration container train to operate along Poti-Baku-Aktau-Almaty route. At this meeting chairmanship is passing from Azerbaijan to Bulgaria.
At present Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia are speaking on the route prolongation to Dostyk station on Chinese-Kazakh border in a view of cargos transportation increase.
At the forthcoming session its participants will also discuss the issue of opening railroad communication Kars-Ahalkalaki-Tbilisi-Baku.
