At its next session, the Chamber of Accounts (CA) totaled the audit in Khatai municipality regarding allotted state subsidies and expenses in 2003-2005 and first half of 2006. Trend report with reference to CA, the audit unveiled municipality budget approval without any economic substantiation, taxpayers and physical persons property registers are missing, unregistered garages are present.
Tax evasion due to land rent contract expiry has also been revealed in said municipality. Accounting was not tailored to meet standard requirements. Prices for land allocation were deliberately underestimated compared to market.
Besides, municipality borders and documentation on land it receives from related executive power are not defined.
By the totals of the audit, documents have been dispatched to the Cabinet of Ministers, Land and Cartography Committee, Ministry of Finances, Baku city Executive Power, Audit Chamber and General Prosecutors Office.
