Average Wage in Azerbaijan in 2006 Exceeded Average Monthly Money Income per Capita by 70,2%

The amount of average salary in Azerbaijan in January-December, 2006 reached 141,3 AZN. It is by 19,8% more versus the figures registered in the corresponding period of 2005, a source in the State Statistics Committee informed Trend.

According to the known order made by the Azerbaijan President, starting from January 1, 2007, the minimal amount of salary has been fixed at the rate of 40 AZN. It will enable to increase the salaries of all those employees who work in the budget organizations.

The highest salary of the last year was fixed in the extracting industry, in the sphere of financial activity, operations with immovable property, rendering services in the field of rent and services to consumers, as well as in the construction sector. The average wage on 2006 exceeded the average monthly money income per capita by 70,2% . The amount reached 99,125 AZN.

Up to January 1, 2007, the face income per capita was 1189,5 AZN. This figure exceeds the corresponding one registered in 2005 by 22%. The real money incomes per capita reached 1051,3 AZN, at a growth of 22,7%.

From January, 2007 through December, 2007, the nominal face income of the Azerbaijan population reached 9949,8 mln. AZN. It is by 23,4% higher versus the figure registered in 2005. The real face income of the population in this period reached 8793,8 mln. AZN, at a growth of 24,1%. The growth rate in the income of the population in 2006 exceeded the rise in the consumer prices by 15,1%.
