Azerbaijan, Baku, 9 June / corr. Trend E. Ismayilov/ From January to May 2008, Azerbaijan has produced over 4.4bln cu. meters gas, 2.8bln cu. meters of which accounts for the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), produced in the fields developed by the Company itself.
Some 1.6bln cu. meters gas accounted for the casing-head gas produced by the Azerbaijani International Operation Company (AIOC) in Azeri-Gunesh-Chiragli field and Shah Deniz contract field, SOCAR said in its official statement.
About 896.3mln cu. meters gas was delivered to the government in May, 576.56mln cu. meters of which accounts for SOCAR, 319.8mln cu. meters for AIOC and Shah Deniz project.
According to the PSA contract, signed in 1994, AIOC delivers Azerbaijan the casing-head gas produced in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field, excluding the oil that the consortium needs to carry out the oil and gas operations in line with the agreement.
