Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 November / Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) put into exploitation a new prolific well in Guneshli-15 platform, the SOCAR said.
A total of 150 tons of oil and 40,000 cu.m of gas is produced a day through natural flow method.
The depth of the well comprises 4,150m. Trust of Bail Limani Complex Drilling drills the well in Girmaki svita.
Guneshli-15 platform was put into exploitation in 1991. A total of 26 wells were drilled from the platform. Daily production at the platform amounts to 1,650 tons of oil and 1mln cu.m of natural gas.
Guneshli is the hugest oil and gas field, developed by the SOCAR independently, A total of 60% of all oil and 70% of all gas, which is produced by the SOCAR, falls on the field.
