Iran and China are discussing the development of the 11th phase of the South Pars field. The sides are expected to sign a contract shortly, the Iranian National Oil Company told SHANA news agency.
Seyfulla Janshnsaz, director of the Iranian National Oil Company, went to Beijing to sign the contract.
Iran and China are cooperating closely in the energy sector. In recent years, ten agreements for cooperation in oil and gas industry have been signed between the two countries.
The most significant agreement on cooperation between Iran and China are the contracts for the development of gas field of North Pars and oil field Yadavarn.
