In January-May 2009, a total of 86,300 tons of oil bitumen was produced in Azerbaijan, compared to 67,200 tons of the same period of 2008, the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) said.
In May, SOCAR produced 24,000 tons of oil bitumen.
In 2008, a total of 220,370 tons of oil bitumen were produced, compared to 182,860 tons of 2007.
In 2006, SOCAR produced 161,940 tons of oil bitumen.
