Turkmenistan exporting power energy to Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey and countries of Central Asia plans to reach its export to 2 billion 600 million kilowatt/hour in 2009 that exceeds indices of previous years, official Turkmen source said.
Turkmenistan considers Europe and countries of South-East Asia as prospective markets in the nearest years. Total production of power energy will hit 15 billion 800 million kilowatt/hours in Turkmenistan in 2009.
Presently, Turkmenistan stirred up modernization of electric power supply system in all biggest populated centers. A new power electric station is being constructed near the Caspian Sea to provide infrastructure of new resort zone Avaza.
