Azerbaijan participates in the summit dedicated to climatic changes to be held in Copenhagen, SOCAR said. Azerbaijan will be represented by SOCAR ecology department head Azer Aliyev.
Climatic changes were first considered in Japanese city of Kyoto. The Kyoto protocol was signed in 1997.
The protocol calls on 37 industrial countries to reduce emissions of carbonic acid in the atmosphere.
SOCAR voluntarily realizes several projects within clear development of the Kyoto protocol during several years.
