Partners will define volumes of supplies from Shah Deniz-2 by spring of 2011

The Sate Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and its partners on the project to develop the Azerbaijani gas field Shah Deniz will determine the volumes of Azerbaijani gas supplies to Europe under the Shah Deniz-2 (the second stage of its development) by spring of next year, a senior representative of SOCAR said.

The Sate Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and its partners on the project to develop the Azerbaijani gas field Shah Deniz will determine the volumes of Azerbaijani gas supplies to Europe under the Shah Deniz-2 (the second stage of its development) by spring of next year, a senior representative of SOCAR said.

"We should determine the volumes of gas and customers by April of 2011," he said.

According to him, the project-participants have created a separate negotiation group, which is in talks with potential buyers from Europe, mainly from the Central Europe.

"We have drawn up short list of potential buyers. The first round of talks has already held. Another meeting will be soon held in Vienna," he said.

According to him, the short list  reflects companies OMW, Edison and others
