New influx of natural gas extracted on Turkmeninstan's biggest field

Another new well, No. 31, drilled by prospectors on the Southern Yoloten - Osman Field, has provided a significant influx of natural gas in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources Ministry reported.

Yoloten is one of the world's super giants with 22 trillion cubic meters of gas. The ministry said in a report that the gas was extracted at a depth of 4,428-4,420 meters. The daily production rate of gas in the 24-millimeter pipe was about 1 million cubic meters.

At present, drilling operations are conducted in South Yoloten (well nos. 18, 21, 28), East Yoloten (no. 1), West Yandakli (no. 1), Doliguyi (no. 1), Egritegenli (no. 1), Minara (no. 2), Garakol (no. 7), Osman (no. 5), Shabasan (no. 1), and the areas Southern Yoloten  (nos. 28, 31), Gazanli (no. 3), South Garakol (no. 1), and Osman (no. 6). Drilling of new wells will be continued in the areas Chelekbay (well no. 1), Minara (no. 3), and Bagli (no. 1).

The two seismic expeditions conduct 3D and 2D research.
