Iran's Fann Avaran Petrochemical Company production hits a new record

Fan Avaran Petrochemical Company produced more than 900,000 tons of methanol, over 137,000 tons of acetic and more than 98,000 tons of carbon monoxide last Iranian year (ended March 21, 2011), IRNA reported quoting the Head of Public Affairs of Fan Avaran Petrochemical Company Faramand Hashemi Zadeh as saying.

Hashemi Zadeh said the company's production hit a new record since the establishment.

Fan Avaran Petrochemical Company offers petrochemical products. Its products include methanol for use as a raw material in the production of acetic acid, MTBE, formaldehyde, organic material solvents, organic coatings, composites, and glues; carbon monoxide, which is used as feed for the production of acetic acid, phosgene, engineering polymers, organic chemicals, and petrochemicals and isocyanates plants; and acetic acid that is used as primary material for the production of terephthalic acid and vinyl acetate monomer, cellulose acetate, solvents, paints, and pharmaceutics industries. The company also engages in construction, commissioning, and operation of industrial factories for production, marketing, and sale of petrochemicals. Fan Avaran Petrochemical Company is based in Tehran, Iran. The company operates as a subsidiary of National Petrochemical Company.
