SOCAR increases gas stations in Georgia

The number of SOCAR gas stations in Georgia has reached 67 units.

Recently, gas stations opened in the Sagarjo region and on the Tamarashvili and Sheshelidze streets in Tbilisi.

By late 2011, SOCAR plans to bring the number of gas stations in Georgia under its own brand to 100 units. A number of new gas stations are also being built. Most of the new stations will be opened in the second half of the year.

SOCAR Energy Georgia's co-founders are: SOCAR - 51 percent, Petro-Trans FZCO - 24.5 percent and Ivan Chkhartishvili - 24.5 percent.

SOCAR also has gas stations in Baku. Their number will hit 26-30 in the future. The company is opening gas stations in Ukraine and looking to open gas stations in Romania.
