The preparation of new rules for rendering technical conditions in the gas sector is almost completed, ministry official Asif Zeynalov said.
He said the new rules are under consideration at the Energy Ministry.
"The documents will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration one of these days," Zeynalov said.
He added that the main purpose of preparing the documents and regulations in the gas sector is to protect the rights and interests of gas consumers.
The Cabinet of Ministers earlier approved new rules for using gas in Azerbaijan.
