Kazakh, Indonesian oil and gas companies to sign memorandum

National oil and gas companies of Kazakhstan and Indonesia KazMunayGas and Pertamina will sign a memorandum on Monday, KazMunayGas told Trend on Friday.

According to the company, Pertamina is interested in identifying opportunities in the exploration and production in the gas industry in Kazakhstan.

KazMunayGas plans to continue to further attract foreign capital, technology and experience to develop oil and gas resources in Kazakhstan.

During Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's visit to Indonesia in April, the heads of Kazakhstan and Indonesia reached an agreement on oil and gas cooperation.

KazMunayGas is Kazakhstan's national operator for exploration, production, processing and transportation of hydrocarbons.

KazMunayGas's shares are owned by Samruk-Kazyna.

Pertamina is the Indonesian state oil and gas company.
