In January-April, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced about 2.3 billion cubic meters of gas compared to 2.4 billion cubic meters in January-April 2011, SOCAR said on Wednesday.
According to the report, in April SOCAR produced 562.87 million cubic meters of gas compared to 553.9 million cubic meters in March.
According to SOCAR, in January-April the country produced about 8.73 billion cubic meters of gas. In April the figure hit 2.06 billion cubic meters compared to 2.13 billion cubic meters in March.
Last year, Azerbaijan produced approximately 26 billion cubic meters of gas. Some 7.08 billion cubic meters of gas fell to SOCAR in 2011.
