SOCAR expands gas stations network in Romania

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR has opened a new gas station in Romania, thus bringing the total number of its filling stations in this country to 41, Trend reports citing Romanian media.

This is the third gas station opened in Romania’s Timisoara city, according to the report.

“The filling station is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, modern equipment, fast pumps, modern lighting system that allows for low energy consumption,” said the report.

The project for construction of gas filling stations is a part of SOCAR’s strategy for developing its filling stations’ network in the areas of heavy traffic.

Currently, SOCAR has filling stations in 18 regions of Romania.

SOCAR Petroleum SA Romania was founded January 30, 2011 to manage the purchase and sale of petroleum products in Romania and provide supply services that meet international standards and a diversified transportation infrastructure.

SOCAR Petroleum SA Romania does business under the SOCAR label.

SOCAR is the sole producer of petroleum products in Azerbaijan. The company also has filling stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.
