Europe and Asia Pacific will see the highest oil demand growth in 2022 with 4.3 percent each, Trend reports with reference to the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The oil demand will grow by 6.2 percent in Asia Pacific and 4 percent in Europe in 2021.
The second highest growth in 2022 will be recorded in the Former Soviet Union (FSU) with 3.4 percent, as compared to 6.2 percent as of 2021, followed by Americas with 3.2 percent in 2022 versus 7.8 percent in 2021.
Africa will record only 2 percent increase in oil demand in 2022, compared to 5.8 percent in 2021, followed by the Middle East with 0.7 percent growth in 2022 and 2.6 percent rise in 2021.
The overall global oil demand will rise from 96.282 million barrels per day in 2021 to 99.653 million barrels per day in 2022. The demand will see a 6 percent year-on-year growth in 2021 and 3.5 percent increase in 2022.
