SOCAR Opens Branch in Romania

The opening of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) branches in Romania, Turkey and Georgia will allow SOCAR to strengthen its international accounting standards and also operate in the Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea ports.

After opening its office in Georgia, SOCAR's representative has begun active work in Georgia, Trend reports with reference to a statement made by SOCAR. The Company has acquired a 6-floor building in Tbilisi.

The building was given to SOCAR by Special Order of the Georgian President, Mikhail Saakashvili. The cost of the building totalled $3 mln.
