The total turnover at the market of Azerbaijan’s Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 985 million manat ($580 million) in September 2019, which is almost 2.5 times less than in the same month in 2018, Trend reports referring to the BSE’s reporting data.
According to the exchange, the volume of turnover decreased by 26.5 percent during September 2019.
The turnover in the debt instrument market amounted to 886 million manat ($522 million) during the mentioned period, having decreased by 28.6 percent since the beginning of 2019. This is while on an annualized basis, the volume of turnover significantly decreased by 48.6 percent.
The turnover on the stock market amounted to 290,100 manat ($170,999) in September 2019.
Since the beginning of 2019, the turnover on repo operations has almost doubled and amounted to 98.624 million manat ($58.134 million) in September. On an annualized basis, the repurchase transactions grew by over 7 times.
