Azerbaijan plans to introduce money transfer service via MTF/STEFI system with several countries, the Azerbaijani communication and IT ministry's postal sector manager Novruz Mammadov said during the conference of regional communication community on development of postal financial service said in Baku on June 4.
"We plant to introduce money transfer system with Estonia, Lithuania and France," Mammadov said.
STEFİ (Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information) is money transfer system of the universal postal union.
The state postal operator Azerpocht conducts money transfer via МТF/STEFI system with Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and UAE.
Over 20 representatives of post offices, including delegates from members-countries of regional communication community (except for Armenia and Turkey), Latvia, France, Mexico, Italy and Brazil, as well as two responsible people of the universal postal union participate in the conference.
