About 119,540 tourists from Azerbaijan visited Georgia in October 2019, Trend reports citing the Georgian National Tourism Administration.
The mentioned figure is an increase by 7.7 percent (8,585 people), compared to the same period last year.
According to the National Tourism Administration, as of October 2019, 782,670 international travelers (who stay in a country for more than six months not for tourism, but for the purposes of education, employment, family reunion, etc.) visited Georgia, which is 8.8 percent more than in the previous year.
The number of international visitors (non-resident travelers of age 15 or older, who visited Georgia from their area of residence) amounted to 665,055, which is 8.8 percent more than in 2018.
At the same time, the number of tourist visits (visitor who spent at least one night in Georgia) amounted to 438,805, which is 7.8 percent more than in 2018.
From January through October 2019, the number of international travelers to Georgia for the first time exceeded the historical 8 million in 10 months and reached 8.020 million.
The growth compared to the same period last year amounted to 6.8 percent.
