BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Jask port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 28.6 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, more than 39,200 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 6th month.
Of this, 29,200 tons of cargo were exported and 10,000 tons were imported through the Jask port over the 6th month.
“Some 28,800 tons of essential products and 10,400 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.
In general, about 13.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.67 million tons were loaded and about 6.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
