BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. Swiss Stadler Rail, the railway's manufacturer, is ready to offer Azerbaijan Railways CJSC services, Trend reports via the company.
According to the company, the offered services may include spare part supply as well as train maintenance.
"The contract for the supply of FLIRT [Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train] trains between Stadler Rail and Azerbaijan Railways provides a two-year warranty. Warranty work will be carried out at the depot areas of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC", the company said.
In 2019, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Stadler signed a contract for the supply of the first 10 FLIRT [Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train] single-deck trains, of which four trains are designed as inter-regional diesel-electric trains, three electric trains - as inter-regional and three as regional ones.
These trains are expected to be delivered to Azerbaijan in 2023-2024.
