Slight decrease in export of Kazakh oil and gas

Kazakhstan exported 40.159 million tons of oil and gas condensate in January-July 2012 or 0.3 per cent less compared to the same period of 2011, the Kazakh Statistics Agency said today

Kazakhstan exported 40.159 million tons of oil and gas condensate in January-July 2012 or 0.3 per cent less compared to the same period of 2011, the Kazakh Statistics Agency said today.

According to the agency, the export of oil and condensate in the reporting period amounted to $34.285 billion, or 12.3 per cent more than in January-July 2011.

Exports of oil products in the reporting period amounted to 2.650 million tons (17.2 per cent more) to the sum of $1.678 billion (42 per cent more). The import of oil products amounted to 1.168 million tons (43.2 per cent more).

Exports of gas in the reporting period amounted to 12.133 billion cubic meters in Kazakhstan in January-July this year (9.2 per cent less) to the amount of $1.287 billion (3.8 per cent less).

The import level decreased in Jan.-July. This means the import of gas to the country during the reporting period amounted to 2.473 billion cubic meters (12.5 per cent less) amounting to $231.4 million (2.9 per cent less).
