Kazakh Metallurgical Corporation Kazakhmys produced 220,800 tons of copper cathode equivalents in 2015, which is 2.7 percent more than planned, the company reported.
The average copper grade was 0.88 percent at the end of the last year, which is more than the average copper grade in 2014 (0.84 percent) and 0.06 percent more than the planned figure.
Ore processing volume reached 31 million tons in 2015.
Kazakhmys Corporation plans to produce over 221,000 tons of copper cathode equivalents in 2016.
Despite the difficulties of the period, a decline in copper prices and a prolonged crisis in the world economy, we plan to maintain the pace of production at the corporation's enterprises at the level of 2014-2015 years," said the company.
