BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Kyrgyzstan imported 499 tons of crude oil and gas condensate from Russia for $187,000 in February 2023, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the statistics, Kyrgyzstan did not import crude oil and gas condensate from Russia in the corresponding period of 2022. There is also no data for this type of imports in January 2023.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan imported 2,698 tons of crude oil and gas condensate for $2.1 million in 2022.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan imported from Russia goods for $256.1 million in January through February 2023, which is a decrease of 30 percent, compared to the same period of 2022 ($369.9 million).

The exports from Kyrgyzstan to Russia exceeded $79.6 million and accounted for 31.2 percent of Kyrgyz exports. The value of the exports increased by 11 percent over the first two months of 2022 ($71.5 million).

In total, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $335.8 million from January through February 2023, decreasing by 24 percent year-on-year ($441.5 million from January through February 2023).

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan produced 72,800 tons of crude oil from January through March 2023. Kyrgyzstan’s crude oil production in 1Q2023 has increased by 2.5 percent year-on-year (71,000 tons from January through March 2023).
