NATO Days opened in Tbilisi

( Prime-News ) - The NATO Days in Georgia were officially opened at the NATO Information Center in Tbilisi on Monday.

Georgian government officials, representatives of NGOs and international organizations and diplomatic corps participated in the event.

The NATO Information Center will hold action "Score goal together with the NATO" in Tbilisi streets within the frameworks of the event today. The action will start outside Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University and end in Rustaveli Avenue.

Participants of the action will inform citizens about importance of joining the NATO.

Giorgi Baramidze, State Minister of Georgia for integration into European and euro-Atlantic integration, stated that it is not the first event on the NATO, but such large-scale action is held for the first time in Georgia.

Batu Kutelia, Deputy Defense Minister of Georgia, stated that support of the population to such actions is very important for Georgia's integration into the NATO.
