The Strategic Development Agency has been abolished upon the presidential decree in Georgia.

The decree, published in "Legislative Bulletin", was issued by Mikheil Saakashvili on Dec. 14.

According to the President's decision, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Justice must complete the actions, envisaged by the legislation in connection with the abolition of the agency, till December 17. The Ministry of Justice is the successor in terms of the property.

The Strategic Development Agency was established on April 19, 2012. Its main function was to coordinate the projects related to tourism infrastructure.

The agency worked over the construction of the new city Lazika, as well as rehabilitation projects for Kakheti and Imereti.
