Hot air balloon accidents injure seven tourists in Egypt

(dpa) - Seven tourists were injured when three hot air balloons fell to earth in the southern Egyptian city of Luxor due to bad weather, security sources said Tuesday.

A French tourist and six Colombians were injured when the balloons fell to earth in separate areas of Luxor on Monday and Tuesday, sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.

The French tourist suffered a fractured leg, sources said.

Some 53 tourists onboard the balloons escaped injury. Investigations were underway.
