NATO-led forces confirmed that a clash with Pakistani troops had occurred at a border post Saturday, but withheld comment pending investigation, DPA reported.
Pakistani officials said NATO helicopters launched an airstrike that killed at least 24 troops and injuring more than a dozen.
"We are aware that there has been an incident in the border region," Lt Commander Brian Badura, spokesman for the International Security Assistance Force, said.
