Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR transferred 661.74 million Azerbaijani manats to the state budget in H1 2016, as compared to 728.73 million manats in the same period of 2015, SOCAR said in a message July 14.
The official exchange rate is 1.5576 AZN/USD as of July 14.
In total, SOCAR transferred 1.48 billion manats to the state budget in 2015 versus 1.86 billion manats in 2014.
The company also transferred 69.53 million manats to the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) of Azerbaijan in January-June 2016, as compared to 69.78 million manats in the same period of 2015.
SOCAR transferred 139.29 million manats to the SSPF in 2015 versus 141.24 million manats in 2014.
SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan.
