Kazakh companies increase fixed-capital investments

Investments in fixed capital of the Kazakh enterprises increased by seven percent in 2015, and their volume for the first time exceeded seven billion Kazakh tenges (the official exchange rate is 363.73 KZT/$1 as of Feb. 8).

Investments in fixed capital of the Kazakh enterprises increased by seven percent in 2015, and their volume for the first time exceeded seven billion Kazakh tenges (the official exchange rate is 363.73 KZT/$1 as of Feb. 8), Ranking.kz analytical service reported.

"The investments' growth rate slowed down (nine percent in 2014, 11 percent - in 2013), but it is not the lowest in the past five years: enterprises' capital investments increased by only 4 percent in 2011," said the service.

Over the half of investments in fixed capital is still provided at own funds of enterprises - over four trillion tenges in 2015.

Over the year, their share in the total volume of capital investments increased slightly from 57.9 to 58.1 percent.

The share of the state and local budgets in the structure of investment sources of the Kazakh companies' decreased from 14.1 to 13.1 percent and from 6.1 to 4.9 percent respectively.

Accordingly, the share of non-bank loans rose from 16.8 to 17.9 percent, bank loans - from 5.2 percent to 6 percent.

The leaders in terms of capital investments' growth of the Kazakh companies traditionally are: Atyrau region and Astana.
