French Agriculture Minister Stephane Le Foll and Junior Minister for Foreign Trade and Tourism Promotion Matthias Fekl would visit Iran next week and take with them a big commercial and business delegation, the country's foreign ministry said on Sept. 17, Xinhua reported.

Accompanied by 100 business leaders, Le Foll and Fekl would pay a two-day visit to Teheran since Sept. 21, the first of such visit in 12 years.

This upcoming visit would mainly focus on trade links and revive business cooperation after a concluded nuclear deal opened Teheran's doors to westerners.

"It follows Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius' visit to Iran on July 29, the first bilateral visit by a French foreign minister for 17 years, making it possible to relaunch our political dialogue," the ministry added.

According to French foreign ministry figures, France's sales to Iran shrunk to 494 million euros (558.22 million US dollars) in 2013 from 1.66 billion euros in 2011 while imports were valued 62 million euros two years ago compared to 1.77 billion in 2011.
