A two-day conference on trade and investment opportunities in post-sanctions Iran will be held on Nov. 18 in Frankfurt, Germany.

High-ranking trade delegations from Iran and European countries will take part in the Iran-EU Trade Conference, which is to introduce investment opportunities in the Islamic Republic to European companies, IRNA news agency reported.

Frankfurt is also hosting the 18th Euro Finance Week Forum.

"The Iran-EU banking issues will be discussed at the forum on Nov. 18-19," said Iran's central bank governor, Valiollah Seif, who also attends the forum.

Following the nuclear deal inked last July between Iran and the P5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France, the UK, and Germany), Tehran's former trade partners, including the EU, started to explore cooperation in the post-sanctions period.

International sanctions against Iran are expected to be lifted in next two months.

Iran's exports to Europe registered a 7.5 percent increase in terms of value year-on-year and stood at $820 million during the first half of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 21-Sept. 22).

Meanwhile, the European countries exported over 5.1 million tons of goods, worth $4.611 billion to Iran during the six-month period.

Iran's imports from Europe accounted for 22 percent of the country's total imports' value.
