PACE rapporteurs to visit Georgia

The rapporteurs from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Michael Aastrup Jensen (Denmark) and Boriss Cilevics (Latvia) will be on a visit to Georgia on January 13-15, Council of Europe representative office in Georgia told Trend on Saturday.

The rapporteurs from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Michael Aastrup Jensen (Denmark) and Boriss Cilevics (Latvia) will be on a visit to Georgia on January 13-15, Council of Europe representative office in Georgia told Trend on Saturday.

The rapporteurs will visit Georgia for preparation of a report on the country's commitments to the Council of Europe.

They are expected to discuss constitutional reform and reform of the justice system.

They are also expected to meet with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Georgian Parliament's Speaker David Usupashvili as well as representatives of the public sector and the parliamentary minority and majority.
