Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with the president of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert during his official visit to Germany.

The sides discussed prospects of intensifying bilateral relations.

Garibashvili paid special attention to Georgia's integration into European organizations, Georgian Prime Minister's press-service told Trend. The satisfaction with a rapid process of signing an association agreement with the EU was expressed.
It was stressed that a plan of cooperation between Georgia and Germany in the field of defense covers a wide range of issues.

The sides stressed their satisfaction that the two governments will sign an agreement on cooperation in combating organized crime, terrorism and other heinous crimes in July.

After the meeting, Garibashvili accompanied Norbert Lammert on an inspection of the Bundestag building.
