There are too many bloody pages of extremism and terrorism supported by Armenia at the state level, the Azerbaijani parliamentary representative to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Rafael Huseynov, said during debates over Spanish MP Pedro Agramunta Font de Mora's report entitled "Fight against extremism" made on the second day of the PACE autumn session.

According to Huseynov, it is important to fight with extremism.

"Armenian separatism has come out of control and gained even greater dimensions, because the Armenian extremists' actions in the Nagorno-Karabakh were not prevented in the late 1980s, although there was every opportunity for this. This separatism has turned into a protracted war, which involved a number of major powers. Extremist and racist attacks by Armenia turned more than a million Azerbaijanis into refugees. Thousands of people became victims of the Armenian aggression. More than 300,000 Azerbaijanis, densely populated in the territory of modern Republic of Armenia from antiquity, were driven out. Representatives of national minorities in Armenia - Russian Jews, Germans, Greeks, Kurds and people of other nationalities were also driven out of Armenia. Armenia has become a mono-ethnic state. Armenia's people has become hostage to the government, which still carries out the state policy supporting extremism and terrorism. The result is known - Armenia is in the political, economic and cultural decline. The crisis is expanding day by day and leads the people to the abyss," Huseynov said.

Huseynov informed the parliamentarians about the fact that the Armenian authorities still support extremism and terrorism. "It is important to be together in the fight with extremism for the sake of humanism," he said.

"The worst thing is that the promotion of racism, chauvinism, Islamophobia and Turkophobia intensively continues in the electronic and print media in Armenia today. All this propaganda is reflected in textbooks, scientific and artistic literature. This propaganda poisons the mind of Armenia's young generation," he said. "There are too many bloody pages of extremism and terrorism, supported by Armenia at the state level. Terrorist attacks in the Baku Metro, which resulted in many deaths and injuries, only one of these bloody pages. The list is too long. Some people try to connect extremism and terrorism with nationality or race. But it's wrong approach. It is impossible to link the attacks, murders committed by Armenian terrorists of organizations ASALA, Haydut, Vartan in some countries, even in France, with the Armenian nation. The meanness and vileness has no nationality, their goal is a person. Therefore, we all must stand together in the fight with extremism in the name of humanity," Huseynov said.
