NATO to hold joint military training in Azerbaijan

NATO plans to hold joint military training in Azerbaijan, the Defense Ministry press service told Trend .

Regional Response - 2009 International Military Training to be held from April 18 to 26 aims to contribute to events to be organized as a part of the Azerbaijan-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan. The training will be held in a format of headquarters for three days for divisions in the field training format for five days according to multinational operations scenario.

The training will cover security of check-points and roads, designing restricted documents, equipment and materials, to ensure coordination, to surround and search buildings, to make regular and comprehensive reports.

The representatives of the United States, Bulgaria, Georgia, Estonia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine armed forces will attend the training.

Military attaches accredited to Azerbaijan are also expected to participate.
