Think tanks in Azerbaijan and Turkey have signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The Azerbaijani Presidential Center for Strategic Research (CSR) and the Strategic Research Center under the Turkish Foreign Ministry signed the memorandum today.

The document was undersigned by CSR Acting Director Gulshan Pashayeva and Adviser to the Turkish Foreign Minister Bulent Aras, who also heads the Turkish center.

Turkey will use its influence in all international organizations to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Aras said.

"Azerbaijan is an important country in the region for us. The issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is important in its relations with Azerbaijan and regional countries," he said.

He added that the issue is regularly put on the agenda in negotiations with Iran and Russia.

The memorandum envisages exchanging information, and holding conferences, seminars and other events.

A Turkish delegation led by Aras is on a visit to Baku from March 5 to March 7.
