Bringing ground troops into the Gaza Strip first of all will harm Israel and further isolate Tel Aviv in the region, TRT Haber TV channel quotes Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as saying.
Davutoglu said that Turkey and other countries in the region reacted with alarm the statements on Israel's readiness to begin ground operations in Gaza.
"This would mean Israel would finally cement its status as an aggressor and will further isolate itself from the region's countries," Davutoglu said.
Israeli Air and Naval Forces have continued to launch air strikes on the Gaza Strip for the past week. They killed hundreds of Palestinians and this figure may grow significantly with the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. In addition, Israel's preparation to bring ground troops into the Palestinian enclave causes serious concern.
