SWEDEN TO SEND A DIPLOMAT TO BAKU TO DEVELOP BILATERAL RELATIONS

The Swedish government has made a decision to send a diplomat to Baku in order to develop and strengthen ties with Azerbaijan. Elmar Mammadyarov, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, commented that after meeting with the State Secretary of the Swedish Prime-minister’s office, Lars Danielson, Trend reports.

According to Mammadyarov, the Swedish diplomat will work at the Norway embassy in Baku on constant basis.

Touching upon the matter of opening of the Swedish embassy in Baku, the FM noted that this will have some financial cost.

“I was officially invited to visit Stockholm during the meeting with Danielson”, noted Mammadyarov, emphasized that he personally will discuss the issue of opening of a representative office with the government of Sweden, as soon as the date of the visit is determined.
