BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Relations between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus have become more dynamic after the victory in Karabakh, Yasemi Ozturk, Chairman of the Law, Political Affairs, and Foreign Relations Committee of the Republic Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said, Trend reports.

She made the statement during the First Meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee Chairs of the Parliaments of the Turkic States that kicked off today in Baku.

"We are very pleased that Northern Cyprus has been accepted as an observer to the Organization of Turkic States," she said.

Speaking about relations with Azerbaijan, the parliamentarian mentioned that historical ties and common values further bind the two countries.

"We will continue our righteous struggle. We want our independence to be recognized. This is the struggle not only of Northern Cyprus but of the entire Turkic world," Ozturk emphasized.
