BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Georgia in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024) totaled about 497,000 tons worth $336 million, the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
According to statistics, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with
Georgia declined by 2.8 percent in value terms and climbed by 6.7
percent in weight terms compared to the previous year (March 21,
2022 - March 20, 2023). Subsequently, Iran's non-oil trade with
Georgia totaled 467,000 tons worth around $346 million the previous
year.
Last year, the two countries traded agricultural products, steel,
pipes, mining minerals, glass containers, petrochemical products,
timber, various types of equipment spare parts, and so on.
Meanwhile, Iran's trade turnover with Georgia for the 12th month of last year (from February 20 through March 19, 2024) amounted to 35,800 tons worth $26.2 million.
To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, the country's trade turnover (imports and exports) last year amounted to more than $153 billion. Compared to the previous year, the trade turnover increased by 2.6 percent.
