“The UN Development Fund (UNDP) is ready to support any step directed at the increase of the professional level of Azerbaijani teachers,” Marco Borsotti, the UN resident-coordinator in Azerbaijan, told a ceremony of signing of an agreement on implementation of the project on Provision of the secondary schools in Azerbaijan with information and communications technologies held on Friday.
Noting the importance of the conducting training for teachers he stressed that along with the computerization of schools, it is necessary to raise the level of information provision of teachers in the country.
“Thus far, 4,340 teachers participated in the training courses,” Borsotti said. The Education Ministry held special training for 100 specialists, which is of paramount importance for further development of education system in the country.
